SIFU-Thug character painting

It was an honor and a rare opportunity to work on a production of such quality animation anthology as @secretlevelonprime .

I created this exploration painting test during working on the 'Sifu: It Takes a Life'- episode at DIGIC PICTURES (@digicpictures ) in the look development phase. My goal was to train myself to adopt to our defined look on this animation. After many realistic project at first it was a struggling challenge, but working on something unusual and extraordinary out of my comfort zone was a refreshing and game changer experience.

The base of this painting was an incredible and inspirational character drawing by Alvise Zennaro ( @wabbla ), who created great original character designs for this project.

The final look and painting style of this and other characters what you can see in the movie was defined by Clément Dartigues.
